黒い花（ノート挟み）
2018／表紙の意匠と制作
168×223×5㎜（開いた状態）
ほぐした「ひかりもの」の組み合わせ。絹糸、金属たわし、花は黒ベルベット。
それを黒の寒冷紗をはさんで取り合わせてみた。和本用の絹糸はよりが緩くて、ほぐすと水中の小さな生き物が這った跡みたい。じゃあ、黒い花はウミユリってことにする？金属たわしはキラキラの面白さだけじゃなく、表紙を膨らませてくれたのが嬉しい。
Black flower
(Sandwitched notebook holder):
I chose some glittery items, some silk threads and fragments of a metal scrubbing brush and put them onto black cheese cloth.
The flower was made of black velvet fragments.
The silk threads are used in Japanese stub binding and is easy to fray.
The frayed threads looked like traces from some crawling seafloor creatures.
So the flower is a Sea Lilly.
The metal scrubbing brush not only affected the glittering but it also inflated the covers.
That's good.
