水を塗ると紙がぼこぼこする、というのがここ10年くらいの興味。

ぼこぼこするだけじゃなく、薄い色もつけたら可愛いかも、と薄めた水色をマーブル紙の裏に、ぽんぽんと置いていった。

マーブル紙というのは、水面に浮かべた絵の具を写し取るから、濡れても破れない丈夫な紙である必要がある。

丈夫っていうのはどういうことかっていうと、紙の繊維が長いっていうこと。

繊維が長いとどうなるかっていうと、よく伸びてよく縮む。

よって水を塗ったらすごくぼこぼこするのだ。

そういう理由で、どう使うかわからないけどマーブル紙の裏に色の点々のリバーシブルの紙ができていた。

短冊に切って折るとそれだけで面白いな〜って思って、同じ紙の上に置いて、見え隠れする感じにして、白の麻糸で動きを加えた。

アクリルの中に閉じ込めると、置いただけの糸の美しい曲線がそのまま使えるので、それも嬉しい。
（何ヶ所か糸の裏にちょんちょんとボンドをつけて、あまり動かないように止めている）

そこらへんの紙をコラージュしてアートになる「パピエコレ」（紙を糊で貼るってことね）という言葉を思い出した。そこに「糸」を加えたら、チョコレートを思わせる単語ができた。

全体をグラシン紙を包んでいるのは「こおりの下、薄片世界」と同様。

Papie coller ito
(Sandwitched notebook holder):

Over the past 10 years I have been enjoying painting just with water on paper very much.

Water makes paper have a ripple effect and stops it being flat.

This time I painted some dots with bright blue color water on the back side of marble paper.

Marble paper is especially strong for water. When marbling is done, the whole paper is put onto water and then pulled off.

The paper needs to be very strong for being put into water.

This paper is made from plant long fibers.

When the Long fibers get wet, they expand well and after drying they shrink.

So I can make the rippled paper with this effect.

I cut the same marble paper to 1cm wide Strips.

I folded and reversed the strips, it looked interesting playful.

Then I used ramie thread.

These threads have a natural beautiful curve themselves and the sandwitched holder kept this curve with a little bit of glue.

I named this "Papie coller ito".

Papie coller is a French term meaning paper collage and ito is a Japanese term meaning threads.

The sound of this title reminds me of chocolate.

This is interesting for me as being Japanese.

Finally I used glassine paper in same way as this.
